Mental health tip
It’s natural for us to want to react or respond to someone behaving in unacceptable ways. Most times it’s just a bad mood, unpleasant behavior, or something else. However, there are times when mental health issues are present playing a big role in the behavior.
Acculturation and Mental Health
Acculturation is experienced when a culture tries to adopt the ideas and customs of a different culture that is not its own. This process involves adopting and learning the values, traditions, and behaviors of other societies or groups different than theirs. This often occurs when an individual moves to a new country and tries to adopt the customs of their new environment. It also occurs when a country is colonized by another country and adopts the customs of the colonizing country.
