Mental Health Care for Women Veterans

I specialize in treating women veterans. I provide the most effective, personalized care for women veterans to address their unique mental health challenges and the best practices for treating them. Women veterans experience a higher rate of clinical depression and Post Traumatic Stress disorder (PTSD).

PTSD, clinical depression, clinical anxiety, suicide ideation, substance use disorders, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are some of the most common mental health challenges faced by veterans in general. Women veterans tend to face additional or different mental health challenges than men veterans. PTSD is experienced by up to 12% of female veterans which is almost double the rate of male veterans.

Women veterans also have higher rates of eating disorders and clinical depression. In addition, they may experience reproductive mental health conditions and have to deal with social issues, employment issues, and medical issues. All of these issues can have an impact on their mental health as well as their quality of life and relationships.
